Hardback. For many years as a serving Police Officer within the Buckinghamshire Constabulary and the Thames Valley Police, the author used the services of John Bailey. While John was working as a Scenes of Crime Officer, he visited scenes that would have upset or even sickened many Police Officers, but he never turned a hair and simply got on with examining the area and taking photographing evidence. The most famous scene of crime that John photographed was, of course, the Great Train Robbery which took place in 1963, and many of his photographs have been used since then to illustrate that particular offence, many of which are illustrated throughout. He did, however, visit many others which are related in this book. This then is John Bailey's story. Profusely Illus., unpaginated but approx. 124pp. 4to. h/back with pictorial glazed covers, dw not required. As New. A fairly heavy book which may require additional postage if shipped overseas.
